Vectra Simulator

The process starts with the The VECTRA XT 3D Camera taking a three dimensional photograph using multiple cameras positioned for different views, all shooting at once. It only takes a couple of minutes to take the photos.

Using special simulation software on the computer, you can be shown the simulated results of your surgery with different size implants, with a breast lift (mastopexy), or with breast implants and lift (mastopexy) together. Dr Cope usually makes recommendations depending on your body size, shape and wishes.

You will be able to experiment with different looks until you find the one you want – you can see your before photo next to your simulated after photo with two different size implants, making comparisons easier.

Once you have decided on the appearance you want, this simulation will provide a basis for your surgical plan. The VECTRA imaging makes the decision about size and expected result more reliable, because you have already seen a simulation of the result.

In an article (Oct 2013) of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Journal (Plast. Reconstr. Surg.132: 810, 2013.), the main Plastic Surgery Journal worldwide, the 3D imaging VECTRA machine was found to be beneficial for patients considering breast augmentation surgery.

The article concluded that patients prefer a center that offers three-dimensional imaging technology; they feel that the simulation is very accurate and helps them greatly in choosing the implant; and that if they could go back in time, they would choose the same implant again.
