Skin Needling improves skin texture by stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin, with this process continuing for many months after the procedure.
Skin Needling can be used anywhere on the body and improves both acne scarring and surgical scars, reduces pore size, and can be used to treat sun damage including pigmentation spots and wrinkles*.
Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) with Skin Needling uses minute needles to penetrate the skin, stimulating new collagen formation and improving skin texture. In contrast to other techniques such as deep peels and Erbium laser resurfacing or dermabrasion, this process does not damage or peel the epidermis. Skin Needling can be safely used on all skin types and skin colours, and there is much less chance of pigmentation changes as the pigment cells in the skin are left intact compared to laser resurfacing or dermabrasion.
Skin Needling can also increases the effectiveness of your skin care products. Only about 0.3% of cosmeceutical products such as Vitamin A (retinol) are absorbed through the surface of your skin – use of Skin Needling increases the penetration by up to 200 times!*
